WHAT IS A WILL?

A Last Will and Testament is a legal document that allows you to identify your beneficiaries, designate the way you want your property to be distributed, nominate a legal guardian for any minor children, nominate an executor to manage your estate, pay your debts, expenses and taxes and distribute your estate in accordance with your wishes.

WHY SHOULD I HAVE A WILL?

Making a Will is the only way to ensure that your assets will be distributed to the persons or entities according to your personal wishes after you die.  If you die without a valid Will, your assets will be distributed according to the laws of descent and distribution in the State in which you reside.  This may be very different from what you intended.

WHAT IF I BECOME SICK AND UNABLE TO MAKE HEALTHCARE DECISIONS FOR MYSELF?

If you become sick and unable to make healthcare decisions on your own, you need legal documents confirming your appointed representative to give them legal authority to make healthcare decisions for you, in the event you are unable to do so.

Law Firm of Tambra Visnoski can assist in preparation of Wills, Durable Power of Attorney and Directives to Physicians.  We can also assist you with representation in matters related to Probate proceedings.  Probate is the legal proceeding by which a valid Will is filed with the Probate Court and an executor is appointed to oversee the management of the Estate.  Through the Probate process, a person’s debts are paid and assets are distributed to their beneficiaries.

We can also represent you in matters relating to Administration of Estates or Will, Will Contests, Inheritance disputes, Executor challenges and Administration challenges.
